Dr. Gloria PIGNATTA
Gloria joined Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART - IRG CENSAM) as Postdoctoral Associate working on the Cooling Singapore project in 2017. As the Building and Construction expert of the project she was responsible for the assessment of mitigation strategies’ impact on the microclimate and thermal comfort of specific urban areas in Singapore.
Gloria graduated cum laude in Building Engineering at University of Perugia in 2011. In 2012, she mainly worked as Civil Engineer in Italian engineering companies. She received her PhD in Energy Engineering at the University of Perugia in 2016 with a thesis on environmental impact and thermal-energy performance of different typologies of Cool Roofs.
During her PhD, under the ERASMUS program, she worked at The Cyprus Institute in 2014 and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2015.
In 2016, before joining SMART, she worked on two H2020 European Projects and other national projects at CIRIAF - Interuniversity Research Centre on Pollution and Environment (Perugia, Italy) with a Postdoctoral Fellowship and then,
