Luis received his MSc degree in Sustainable Critical Infrastructure from Masdar Institute (MI) 2017. His research consisted of an urban energy model calibration considering the effects of urban heat island, as part of a flagship project in partnership with MIT. His background is in Civil Engineering with one year of experience in consultancy for building energy efficiency. He joined the Cooling Singapore project in 2018 to work on its energy aspects. His research includes the analysis of the energy flow in Singapore, the spatiotemporal distribution of anthropogenic heat and building’s energy efficiency in relation to the Urban Heat Island.
