Dr. Natalia BORZINO
Natalia received her Bachelor and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Genoa, Italy and finished a PhD in Economics at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in the United Kingdom in 2017. She is a Behavioral Economist and an Experimentalist by training. During her PhD, she participated on a Energy Consultancy project for the OFGEM (Gas and Electricity Markets Authority) in U.K. In August 2017, she joined Future Resilient Systems (FRS) at ETH-SEC Centre as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics. She is currently project manager of a collaboration project between FRS and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with the aim to analyze the behavioral determinants on energy consumption and spillovers effect on water usage.
Natalia is also contributing to the Cooling Singapore project by applying behavioral economics insights to analyze the effect of attitudes and beliefs of urban warning and measure preferences for different mitigation strategies. She is also implementing a Contingent Valuation Method in order to measure the WTP for mitigation strategies.
